Missing in Action wins ASUS ROG Championship 2016

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) in collaboration with Garena, held the first ever ROG Champions Cup (League of Legends) on 25th June 2016 at Sunway Pyramid Ice Rink. The event was an incredible success with great turn-out and support from about 1,500 passionate ROG and League of Legends fans that registered.

After 2 months of qualifying rounds for participating 149 teams, the grand final was the best of 5 rounds for the final 2 teams, “Missing in Action” and “Raiding Squad”, where both battled for the top spot in the League of Legends (LoL). Throughout the game, there were plenty of exciting moments of in-game champions slaughtering each other, and certainly the crowd got a powerful game performance from the teams.

In the end, team “Missing in Action” won the grand final with a leading score of 3 – 1 and walked away with the tournament grand prize – RM 5,000 cash and 5 units of ROG G752VT Gaming Laptop for the winning team members. As for the runner-up, team “Raiding Squad”, the team members each won RM 3,000 cash and Nomad Gaming Backpack, GX1000 Gaming Mouse + GM50 Gaming Mouse Pad.
