Canon Marketing (Malaysia) introduced their 2016 latest line-up of DSLR and compact cameras last Thursday as well as unveiling its flagship professional EOS DSLR model, the EOS-1D X Mark II.

The EOS-1D X Mark II is the outcome of our
R&D’s pursuit of the ultimate EOS standards for high speed, comfort and
high image quality. The EOS-1D X Mark II is carefully crafted to give photographers a competitive
edge from the second their finger touches the shutter button,” said Mr WataruNishioka, President and CEO of Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
Canon EOS-1D X Mark II establishes a new benchmark
for speed and autofocus where it is perfect for high-speed precision shooting scenarios
typical to journalism, sports, and wildlife photography. It also breaks a new ground for the EOS
line with newly developed 35mm full frame CMOS sensor, Dual DIGIC 6+ image
processors, enhanced resolution of 20.2-megapixel images, and expanded ISO
speeds of up to 409,600. With this, users
are able to achieve better shooting results in lowlight.
EOS-1D X Mark II comes with new High Frame Rate mode that allows recording at 120/100, enabling slow motion
video recording. With the addition of the Dual Pixel CMOS AF (DAF), users will benefit
from extremely fast auto-focusing and efficient tracking of moving subjects
without aperture limitations.
Canon EOS-1D X Mark II is encased in a
robust magnesium alloy body and designed to be dust and drip-proof, essential for reliability in the professional
photographer’s varied when working at outdoor shoots and the shutter life has expand to 400,000 cycles.
For the first time in the EOS-1D series, GPS is built
into the camera. This allows all the photos to be tagged with
accurate location information, providing users specific location references
especially when traveling in between assignments and locations.
The retail price of RM 25,299 is included 6% GST and soon to be available in the market!
