All accessories you needed!
FOC silicon casing to protect your F1s

First Impression :
I thought the box was wrapped with a brochure when I first hold onto the OPPO F1S Selfie Expert box and later only I realized the barcode with serial number at the back, which means oooopppsssss it's not the brochure! What attracted me here is the 16MP front-facing camera that listed as the first main selling point on top of the outer layer. Anyhow, this could be a good protection layer for the silky milky white box that comes with the latest OPPO F1S Selfie Expert beauty. Trying to separate the box with care as the device is still in the box (it reminds me of opening up an iphone box though) and I was really surprised when I saw the beauty! As the OPPO F1S Selfie Expert does look alike with an iphone plus! The only difference would be the home button shape, an oval shape on OPPO F1S Selfie Expert. Exploring further in the box, a new transparent silicon casing is included where consumer can use right after the purchase of the OPPO F1S Selfie Expert. Unfortunately, oppo did not upgrade the charging adapter into convertible type nor the charging port. The OPPO F1S Selfie Expert is still utilizing the micro USB port and the ear phones that come in the box is those launched quite some times ago. Nothing much discovered during the unboxing of the OPPO F1S Selfie Expert beauty, I am expecting more to come in the functionality instead of the whole appearance or specification comes in this beauty device.

[REVIEW] Huawei Mate 8 - stylish yet premium device

Huawei had released their flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 8 in Malaysia this back in March at the retail price from RM 2,099 to RM 2,399 (including GST). Huawei Mate 8 is powered by Kirin 950 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM and also 32GB/64GB ROM. The rear camera equipped is a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor. The Huawei Mate 8 aims at creating a new style for business.

No more nonsense and let's dive into how impressive the new astonishing look and stylish Huawei Mate 8 gives!

the [A]ppearance
After waiting for more than a year, Huawei finally launched Mate 8. The Huawei Mate 8 remains at the size of 6 inches but is known to be the successor on top of the Ascend Mate 7. While comparing both devices side by side, looking from the front, I assume most of you will get confused between the Mate 7 and Mate 8. The front camera and sensor of Huawei Mate 8's has been moved from the left to the right. Other than that, the percentage of the screen-to-body ratio increases slightly from 77.6% to 78% whereas both remain borderless. Moving to the back view, a big difference can be easily realized. First of all, you might have already found that the shapes of the camera lens and fingerprint sensor has been changed from rounded square to circular form. Huawei is truly putting in effort this time, re-designing the fingerprint sensor to provide users easier and faster unlocked experience. It is impressive when you can always have your phone unlocked before you placed it before your eyes. Additionally, the flashlight is upgraded to dual tone type to produce more vivid and solid image. Furthermore, the speaker has been migrated from the back (on Ascend Mate 7) to the current position, neighboring the mini-USB port. This would surely produce better sound effect and greater volume no matter how or where you place your phone. Last but not least, the antenna line for NFC above the rear camera lens (refer to Ascend Mate 7 backview) which looks a bit like a crack seeing from far was omitted on the Mate 8, creating a simpler but more classy look.

I just couldn't describe how nice the feeling is of owning a 6 inches screen for gaming!

the [B]rain
The brain of Huawei Mate 8 is powered by their latest Kirin 950 processor together with 3GB or 4GB RAM depending on the specifications you prefer. Kirin 950 is their brand new processor with the ability to provide fast and long-lasting performance without any stutter. With the joining of the 4000mAh capacity non-removable battery, enhancing the great and long-lasting performance on the Mate 8. Surprisingly, Mate 8 is able to survive up to 2 days or more with moderate usage. Somehow, no worries even if you are a heavy user or having 2 SIMS running at the same time, the Mate 8 can still lasts up to a day. No more hassles bringing any adapter, cable or a heavy power-bank along! How nice to hear that for a businessman who needs to travel a lot, no matter on the road, in the air or on the sea. As per mentioned above, with Huawei Mate 8, you no longer need a powerbank for outing, moreover, it can actually act as a powerbank to jump start or share some "lives" with your other device. What if you are packed with meetings and appointments? The best solution Huawei has provided us: just feed the Huawei Mate 8 with 30 minutes of charging, that may last the device for one whole day.

the [C]amera
Huawei uses Sony latest 16 MP f2.0 camera sensor on Mate 8 which produces better images. Photo shooting becomes a simple task with Huawei Mate 8 auto mode that what you need to do is to flip out your device, launch the camera application and "ta-dah!" you will then get a lots of great images. The result do meet my standard even I work as a professional photographer and mainly shooting for lots of weddings and events. However, in my opinion, Huawei Mate 8 can be improved by enhancing their autofocus technology, that would then avoid easy blurred-out photo that caused by movement. Not to forget to give a big round of applause to Huawei who added professional mode to their camera that makes photo snapping more fun on Huawei Mate 8. Anyhow, thanks to the built-in optical image stabilization as well, that allows me to take some nice photos during night time. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the performance obtained from the Mate 8's camera besides food photography. It is sad to say food images taken with Mate 8 is not that attractive, lacking of saturation and details. Future improvements can still be done by Huawei to fulfil the needs and to serve the user with better yet convenient functions.

the [D]enouement
In short, Huawei Mate 8 does attract me with the premium and glory feel it has been giving me, more than what I have expected from the very young brand, Huawei. As Huawei slimming down the bezel on both side, users will obtain a larger screen experience. With the improvise fingerprint sensor from design to performance, keeping the device on all the time and taking only 0.2 seconds to unlock the screen, considering pretty fast as compared to other android smartphones. This really leads Huawei Mate 8 to score higher in the range, pushing Huawei brand to a higher end in the smartphone market as well. Battery life is always another vital aspects to user on smartphone purchasing. I am truly impressed by the battery life of Huawei Mate 8 and has been leaving my powerbanks at home when I am out for events or any important meet-ups. I guess they have already collected some dusts on them! Furthermore, the EMUI 4.0 has updated from the previous version with few features added in (refer to photos below), like name card scanning, knuckle gesture to screenshot (even for longer pages), documents readjustment, different recording mode (where you can choose either you are in a meeting, interview or daily use) as well as ultimate in-car experience. Name card scanning is a very useful feature to businessman where they can save the contact info via name card they received in a faster way. I will say Huawei Mate 8 is the smartphone that comes with good hardware, great performance, special features and definitely worth-for-money. I will stick to Huawei Mate 8 for a longer period!

[REVIEW] Asus Zenfone Zoom, new era of mobile photography?

Asus had released their latest mobile photography smartphone, the Asus Zenfone Zoom in Malaysia this early January at the retail price of RM 2,099 (included GST). Asus Zenfone Zoom is powered by Intel Quad Core processor, 4GB RAM and also 128GB ROM. The rear camera is a 13MP PixelMaster camera with 10-element lens with built-in laser auto-focus. The appearance of Asus Zenfone Zoom creates a new era of mobile photography with sleek design, thinner body yet with a feel of owning a DSLR.

So let's go on a tour looking at how powerful Asus Zenfone Zoom is in creating a new era for mobile photography!

the [A]ppearance
During mid of 2014, Samsung did launch a smartphone that comes with optical zoom, literally being named as Samsung K Zoom. It was one of the hottest model in the market previously, however it is too bulky to bring around as a phone. It is an honor to say that Asus managed to keep the thinness of Zenfone Zoom, making it as the world's thinnest optical zoom smartphone. Unlike the other Zenfone models, Zenfone Zoom is covered with a premium leather back casing. It boosts up the whole look and the classiness in both the milky white or piano black. A shutter button is equipped at the same side of power and volume button, lead to easier and more time-saving photo capturing or video recording session. No longer losing any special scene! Additionally, the volume button is customized to work as the optical zoom function that zooms up to 3X without any noise.
The shutter button is very useful for photo capturing especially selfies!

the [B]rain
The brain of Asus Zenfone Zoom is powered by the latest Intel 64 bit Super Quad-Core processor together with 4GB RAM. If 128GB storage is not sufficient, you may add on extra storage through the Micro SD card slot available, up to another 128GB. The 3000mAh capacity non-removable battery is common in the market that makes no difference among Zenfone Zoom and other smartphone. Somehow, Zenfone Zoom can still lasts up to almost a day for moderate usage. No hassles charging Zenfone Zoom in the middle of your work and/or battery dying on the way back home after work. Does it sound great to you?  ZenUI is one of my favourite OS as it offers smart grouping, knock-to-wake feature, customized gesture to open the app directly when phone is sleeping and many mores.

the [C]amera
Asus has underlined Zenfone Zoom as a new era of mobile photography with its hoya 10-element lens as well as the 3X optical zoom. However, the aperture will be adjusted automatically between f2.7 and 4.8 depends on the focus length used. The built in Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is able to eliminate shaky and blurry shot, but it does not helps during night time photography as the photo taken still shaky or blurred. Although Low Light mode (mode specially designed for users to take photo when the light source is not sufficient) is available on device, but photo only captured at 3 megapixel which will destroy the image quality .
I do enjoy taking photo using Zenfone Zoom's auto white balance as it brings out more accurate environment tone and save up my time from doing any editing before posting on social media. The 3X optical zoom works better than post-cropping your photo. You can #ZoomToMax to #SeeTheWorldUpClose yet with awesome and sharp photos. It will be better if the aperture stays at f2.7 to create greater bokeh feel even after applying the 3X optical zoom.

the [D]enouement
It is a shame to say that Zenfone Zoom heats up much more faster and consumes much more battery with the boosted Intel processor. I found that it can easily eats up 30% of battery after shooting continuously for 2 hours. From the perception of a professional photographer, who will be using gears for at least 6 hours for an event, a powerbank is needed in hand if you plan to snap photo using Zenfone Zoom as the spare battery tricks will not be working on this device for the nondetachable battery. Furthermore, Asus should improve low-light mode or night time photography to make it more like a DSLR smartphone. Other than that, RAW image format should be included in the camera software to work alike to a DSLR. If Asus is able to overcome all these limitations, it is for sure Asus Zenfone Zoom will become the new era of mobile photography!

Reviewing Honor 5X Camera (Good Food Mode) at Korean No. 1 BBQ Chicken Restaurant (Berjaya Times Square branch)

Are you a city hopper around KL area? Been too many times in Berjaya Times Square but have no idea about where to go for a quick bite or filling meal? Don't ever miss this post then! As I would like to introduce you the no. 1 Korean BBQ chicken that you do not even need to spend that much to fly to Korea. To be honest, it is my thousand times being here, passing by at least a hundred times with no further steps taken. With the fragrant aroma spreading around the area, I decided to give it a try since I have to do a camera review for the latest Honor 5X.

Even if you are not a city hopper or you do not live in KL city, hold still, it is okay, you can also visit the other BBQ branches as they own 17 outlets in Malaysia and more than 4,150 outlets in 59 countries over the world!

Does it looks familiar but still cannot figure out where does it locate? No worries! Secret to be revealed!

Ta-dah! Yes it is the familiar cinema logo! It is located just opposite GSC and next to Old Town Cafe (refer to next photo shown below).

It is quite spacious outside that you do not have to worry about places to be seated.

It does look like a self-order counter but fortunately it is not! I was served to be seated comfortably with a classy menu provided.

After struggling some times with the menu, I decided to get myself an appetizer, a main course as well as a snack bites combo.

Surprisingly FOODPANDA was spotted in the restaurant too! I took a photo with a consent of the delivery man and assuming this would be the savior for homie people.

The Pane Mushroom Cream Soup (RM 13.90) was being served first! It is quite a big portion that served with a soft and crispy pane.

Look at the way the pane was dipped in the mushroom soup! The premium mushroom soup is really thick and creamy. I admitted I underestimated this restaurant! Never expected that the soup will taste this good that the pane do balance up the saltiness of the creamy soup. Ommo I can still remember how it tastes.

And this is how close and how detailed Honor 5X photos resulted as! Impressed enough to have good food and nice gadget in a post? xoxo I guess I am the most lucky one who able to try both at the same time!

Secondly was the snack bites being served (Korean Combo 2: RM 26.90). This combo comes with 6 pieces of crispy olive chicken and 6 pieces of gangjeong chicken. Getting to try both flavour but pay lesser, why not?

Okay these are the crispy olive chicken! BBQ chicken is the very first brand that uses 100% Olive Oil for frying, providing tasty food with healthier choice, so why not giving them a try?

Followed by the gangjeong chicken! I wondered whether I would get "ganjeong" (in cantonese, means anxious) after eating this. The answer is absolutely! Guess why? It is spicy enough to conquer my taste bud that it even numbs for a while  =(

And here comes my main course -- Jerk BBQ (meal, RM19.90), serving with a salad, fries and a portion of rice with few cashew nuts on!

It is also the best seller in BBQ Chicken Restaurant! The whole chicken leg was marinated in BBQ Chicken secret Jamaican Jerk Sauce for more than 10 hours and being grilled over hot flame. The juiciness of chicken pairing up perfectly with different types of spices coated over the whole leg. Surely deserve to be the best seller!

Another closed-up shot by Honor 5X! I would say that for the same range of products, Honor 5X is doing a better job on the camera part!

In conclusion, I am drooling due to writing this blogpost late night and it does make me feel more hungry. BBQ chicken is definitely worth for the varieties flavours of chicken available! Recommending their Pane Mushroom Cream Soup, Olive Fried Chicken as well as the Jerk BBQ meal (you may try the ala carte one if it sounds too filling for you)! Not too much into the "ganjeong" chicken unless you are a fans of hot and spicy!

All photos shown above were taken by Honor 5X (Good Food Mode << yes I know it sounds so YEAH but ya it is true)!

Below are some photos comparing the result between different phones and to show how close the Honor 5X can hit!

This was taken by Iphone 6 with normal mode and I would say the good food mode in Honor 5X truly made a big difference on illustration purpose that food looks nicer =P

This photo was taken by Huawei Mate 8 and this is how close the Honor 5X can go!

Another photo taken by Huawei Mate 8 showing that how impressed an Honor 5X can perform!
