Xiaomi Vice President, Hugo Barra unveiled the Redmi Note 2 for the international and also Malaysia market on 3rd November 2015 in Kuala Lumpur. The presence of Hugo Barra draws a lot of local and international tech enthusiasts to attend this launch event. 

This round, Redmi Note 2 is a better looking device compared to its Redmi Note with slimmer body design at 52 x 76 x 8.25 mm and 160 grams weight. Redmi Note 2 offers a 5.5 inch Full HD display where reading mode also available to prevent eye fatigue by reducing the blue light. 

Redmi Note 2 Specs

It is powered by a Mediatek Helio X10 Octa core processor, supported by 2GB RAM and 16GB  with expandable storage. Redmi Note 2 is equip with 13 megapixels rear camera and Phase detection Autofocus feature which allows autofocus in 0.1 second. At front, it is a 5MP OmniVision camera which is more than enough for selfie.

3060 mAh removable battery

With 3,060 mAh removable battery and Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging technology, it can last 1 day with medium usage. It also packs with dual SIM cards, both slots support 4G LTE. In addition, Xiaomi added in InfraRed blaster to the device and you can use it as remote control for TV, air conditioner etc.

As usual, Redmi Note 2 running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with MIUI 7 ROM. MIUI 7 creates a fantastic interface that not only gives easy access to user but great performance as well. I love the newly featured Daily lockscreen that the lockscreen photo will change daily. Furthermore, XXL font size is available on Redmi Note 2.
